Welcome to Megan Schmidt Photography. We are a husband and wife team based out of Vancouver, B.C.

WE LOVE TO CAPTURE THOSE SPECIAL MOMENTS THAT TELL A STORY AND YOU CAN CHERISH FOREVER.

Thomas and I met in 2013 in Germany at a bible school called Torchbearers. He was 20 and I was 18. While attending that school, we got to travel all over Europe together. Travelling with someone while your dating, you learn a lot about a person, which made it so fun!

After the school ended, he stayed on as staff and worked for a year on campus. I came home to California and decided to move to Seattle and go to school there. We did long distance for the rest of our time dating until we got married. 

Thomas proposed to me on Canadian thanksgiving in 2015, we got married the following June in California. We moved up to Canada where Thomas is from and have been in Canada ever since! We just welcomed our son, Beckett into this world a few months ago. We also have a “fur-child” named Callie.  We are learning how to be parents to our sweet boy and enjoying every minute of it!

We love people and we love God. We love being able to serve others with our gifts. It’s so special for us to be able to capture those special intimate moments for you. We love hearing vows between spouses and heartwarming speeches from friends and family–but our most favorite is the first look. Whether it is before the ceremony, or when the bride walks down the aisle towards her groom, that first look is priceless and we are honoured to capture it.
